- shows on the go the time, speed/pace, distance, elevation, calories
- up to 3 different customizable screens
- very very precise. 1 to 3m precision (used more than 10 times so far and only once it lost the reception while I was under some trees. When that happens, it keeps tracking your time until it finds the link again, and then calculates a straight course on the missing part. If you dont change your direction, it doesnt make any difference.)
- after your run you can upload your history to your computer and check your performance in each lap, each race.
- the downloadable software is ok but the website is amazing. Whenever you upload your data from the watch it automatically sends to your online account. You can then check your stats from any place. All of the activities, races, calendar... you can even show it in Google Earth. Its useless but fun.
Another thing I like is that you can use it everyday - at work, going out... Its a nice watch.

Garmin 405 is Frustrating product to use! - Carlos N. Jorge - San Diego, Ca.
I bought my 405 in San Diego. It worked ok. It took several minutes to sync with GPS satellites and often failed to connect with the ant sport antenna. I did have the same problem of not being able to use the product as soon as I started to sweat. Unfortunately I have moved to Connecticut and it will no longer sync up. I ran witn 4 miles with it and it did sync up intermittently and logged about .5 miles. I was not happy waiting 2-5 minutes in San Diego, but 20-30 minutes means it is a worthless product.
